Our Programme

Access to Justice Project:
Access to Justice is the join collaboration with Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation of America. Birbhum district is one of the child marriage prone district in India, as per GOI report 49.9% child marriage rate higher than National rate (23%) .
Following activities undertaken with in the project:
- Awareness program for Child Marriage, Child Labour, Child Trafficking etc.
- 35 child marriage were stopped during the year.
- 46 children were rescued different places in the district and returned home with the help of the administration.

Promotion of Women Self Help Groups during:
Tarapur Social Development Society promoted and nurturing 2006 Women SHGs in different districts of West Bengal with support of NABARD.

E-shakti project
2686 SHGs have been already digitized under NABARD Eshakti project in Pashchim Midnapure district. The process is ongoing through mobile App by 98 numbers of Animators.

Integrated Agricultural development program and Farmers Club program
TSDS is working in the field of agricultural development applying the modern technology and skill upgradation of farmers duly supported by NABARD and IIT, Kharagpur throughtout the State.

Vocational and Skill Development Pragram:
500 Women SHG members have taken training on Kantha stitch Tailoring, Food processing and Beautician per year.

Computer training:
There are 464 poor students taking computer education giving nominal fees. During last 5 years 3655 students received computer education in our centre.

Yoga Camp:
TSDS organized promoting Yoga during the year at different districts of West Bengal.

Health Care and Nutrition program
The Society is conducting a mobile unit of trained health workers who move from village to village to provide primary medicine and referral service to the nearest hospital. In almost all the remote villages, there is no Health Centre and as a result our service has been highly welcome by the rural people at the time of emergency. Nutrition program have taken up by our workers and are helping the children of rural people to a great extent. Packages of nutritious food are being supplied to the children and pregnant mothers with proper advice free of cost.
